Experts
Experts are configurable specialist assistants for recurring insurance tasks, such as underwriting review, claims file review, policy comparison or other workflows defined by your organisation.
An Expert combines a role (given persona), instructions, knowledge on which its answers are grounded, optional Actions and rules settings into a focused workspace for specialist review.
What Experts are for
The Assistant is useful for open-ended exploration. Experts are useful when a task should follow a more consistent review pattern.
Typical uses include:
- Reviewing submissions against underwriting guidance
- Analysing claims files with claims-specific checks
- Comparing policy language against defined review criteria
- Applying recurring review instructions to similar tasks
- Producing draft outputs in a more consistent format
Nairo allows teams to easily create unlimited number of custom Experts through the builder where this is enabled in their workspace.
How Experts work
Experts library
The Experts library lists the Experts available in the workspace.
Users can search, filter and open an Expert to start working in its specialist workspace.
Expert builder
Custom Experts are created through a guided builder.
The builder can include:
- Template - start from a built-in template or a blank configuration
- Persona - define the Expert’s role, tone and working instructions
- Knowledge - attach Library folders or documents, or upload documents directly from your files, as the Expert’s reference materials
- Actions - make selected Actions available to the Expert where configured
- Rules - set guardrails, checklists and review preferences
- Review - confirm the configuration
Built-in templates, such as Underwriting or Claims, can provide starting points for teams that want to adapt an existing configuration.
Expert workspace
Inside an Expert workspace, users can:
- Ask questions in the context of the Expert’s configuration
- Work with selected Library materials
- Upload documents for the session where supported
- Use available Actions where configured
- Produce draft outputs for review
- Continue or review previous sessions where supported
Experts help users apply a more consistent review pattern. Outputs should still be reviewed before they are used in business workflows.
What Experts are not
Experts are not autonomous underwriters, claims handlers or compliance officers.
They do not replace authority limits, referral processes, professional judgment or formal sign-off.
They do not guarantee that an output is correct or complete.
Experts support specialist review. Important decisions remain with the relevant human expert and the organisation’s approval process.
